Race Leg 1 - News from Sines

Jolie Brise has won the first leg of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall ships Regatta – First in Class and First Overall. She also received the award for the youngest crew.

JB joined the international fleet in Sines, Portugal, the finish port for Race 1 of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta, on Friday 28 April. Crew members and trainees received an exceptionally warm welcome after an epic race across the Bay of Biscay and down the Portuguese coast.

Festivities over the bank holiday weekend included the crew parade, parties, games and an amazing fireworks display with visitor numbers topping 100,000.

After a spectacular Parade of Sail out of Sines with the international fleet, Jolie Brise has now set sail on Race 2 of the Rendez-Vous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta to Bermuda (via Las Palmas).
